Jennifer V. Lapa

CORE FACULTY

Ms. Jean Venturanza Lapa is currently Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), International Family Food Services, Inc., a 41 year-old leading casual dining restaurant in the country. Reporting to the President and CEO, she oversees the Human Resources and OD functions in Shakeys and affiliates Project Pie and Bakemasters, Inc. since 2013.

Jean has over 25 years of experience in Human Resource Management and Organization Development, 23 years in San Miguel Corporation. Before she left the company in 1998, che was VP-Human Resources of Greater China, based in Hong Kong under the San Miguel Brewing International Ltd., a pioneer unit for overseas expansion of San Miguel in China and Asia-Pacific.

Throughout her long corporate stint, Jean brought to organizations key differentiating values of: 1. Shareholder Perspective. Sharing the CEO mindset: knowing and understanding the various facets of the business; learning organization; systems thinking; facilitating strategy development and effective execution, use of coaching in talent development, guided by the strategic agenda. Setting metrics for both the tangibles and intangibles and exercise of prefessionalism and courage for the interest of the whole organization 2. Client Perspective. Critical assessment of the organization - the decision-making process and roles of the various units, skillfully navigating the dynamic consulting processes as the situation requires. She uses partnerships to draw client participation to ensure understanding and commitment.

Graduate of St. Theresa's College, QC - AB Foreign Service, 1973; Completed a month long Executive Business Program in NUS-Stanford, Singapore in 1990, a 2-week program on Management of Change in Complex Organization, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA, 1993; A 3-week Advanced Leadership Training, Haggai Institute, Maui, Hawaii, 2003

Jean completed her doctoral dissertation: "Relational Leadership Competencies & Interventions and their Effects on Employee Empowerment at three OD Levels", Southeast Asia Interdisciplinary Development Institute - School of Organizational Development, Antipolo, August 2013.
