Herminio B. Coloma, Jr., PhD is currently the Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary in the administration of President Benigno S. Aquino III. He serves as the Don Jose Cojuangco Professor of Business Management (on leave) at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) and was also Associate Dean of its Master in Business Management Program and Dean of its Executive Education and Lifelong Learning Center.
During the administration of President Corazon Aquino, he worked in various key positions such as Head of the Presidential Management Staff (PMS) and Transportation and Communications Undersecretary.
In 1996 to 1999, he was the President of University of Makati. Before he joined the academe in 1988 he was vice president for corporate affairs and human resource management of the Far East Bank and Trust Company. He was also columnist of Business World, the Philippines’ leading business daily newspaper. He was President of the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) in 1988 and has also served as District Governor of Rotary International.
He holds a Doctor in Philosophy (PhD) degree from SAIDI Graduate School of Organization Development, a Master in Business Management (MBM) from the Asian Institute of Management and a Bachelor of Arts (AB) degree major in Political Science from the University of the Philippines. |
